What is ISG

Introduction to IAI-ISG.


ISG


 is IAI's (International Alliance for Interoperability) international  Implementation Support Group. The purpose of this group is

  • to support and coordinate IFC (Industry Founfdation Class) software implementers by providing appropriate information
  • to serve as a forum to exchange experiences in IFC software implementation and to discusss technical issues
  • promote software implementation by organizing demonstrations, participating in tradeshows and communicating the benefits of IFCs for the end-users
  • to facilitate participation in demonstrations of IFC software implementations
  • to facilitate certification of IFC software implementations
  • to monitor software implementation activities around IFC
  • to represent software implementers and their interests in the organs of IAI, e.g. ITM
      • by collecting implementer requirements
      • by reporting implementer requirements to the ITM (IAI's International Technical Menegement) and IC (IAI's International Council)
      • by consulting ITM and IC in questions of software implementation of IFCs
      • to review developments of the IFC data models
